MIX UP YOUR INTENSITY
Vary your intensity with your walking or running. Avoid the same pace, the same route, the same distance. If you are trying to reach personal fitness goals i.e. weight loss or increased fitness level, you will plateau unless you add some higher intensity sessions to your workout. If you are using a treadmill, increase the speed, the incline or distance to get you breathing harder and enough to break out into a sweat. Your body and metabolism need constant change for results.
One of the tests we use for BIO AGE fitness assessment is expired air flow. If you have been walking in comfort zone and not forcing your lungs to work a bit harder then your lungs literally stiffen up and your body age will increase.
Try walking with our team walks to mix up your speed or use a treadmill or exercise bike.
