DRINK GREEN - Why you should drink Green Smoothies. 
Leafy greens are packed with nutrition. They are a great source of non-dairy calcium, magnesium and Vitamin C. And they contain carotenoids that may help protect against macular degeneration and guard against heart disease and cancer.
Many people do not consume enough greens, even those who stay on a raw food diet. By drinking two or three cups of green smoothies daily you will consume enough greens for the day to nourish your body.
Regular consumption of green smoothies forms a good habit of eating greens. After a few weeks of drinking green smoothies, most people start to crave and enjoy eating more greens. Eating enough greens is often a problem with many people, especially children.
Use a blender, not a juicer, to make your Green Smoothie. That way you will keep all the fibre from the leafy greens. 
Use this recipe to start with an alter them to suit your taste. Adding some banana, avocado or apple to your smoothie will quickly transform your green drink to become something palatable. 

*Add 1/2 green apple if you do not like banana

INGREDIENTS
1 CUP WATER
*1 FROZEN BANANA
1/2 AVOCADO
1 STICK OF CELERY
1/2 CUCUMBER SKIN PEELED
3 KALE LEAVES STEMS REMOVED
HANDFUL OF SPINACH LEAVES
JUICE OF 1/2 LEMON - Optional add chia seeds and The Holistic Chef Australia#ShaktisSuperfoodBlend (spirulina) will boost metabolism. 

Spirulina has a strong seaweed taste so you might like to use this alone mixed in coconut water or water and drink your green smoothie separately.
